Biden's State Department Lifts Weapons Ban on Ukraine's 'Nazi' Azov Brigade [VIDEOS]

The Biden regime has lifted restrictions on the supply of US weapons and training to the Azov Brigade, a prominent Ukrainian military unit known for its effectiveness in combat but tainted by allegations of far-right associations in the past.

The State Department used Leahy's vetting process to evaluate the Azov Brigade, which is now part of the Ukrainian National Guard operating as the 12th Special Forces Brigade.

US law traditionally prohibits assistance, including equipment and training, to foreign military units or individuals linked to serious human rights violations.

After a thorough review, the State Department announced that there was no evidence that the 12th Azov Brigade committed serious human rights violations (GVHR), marking a significant milestone for the unit.

In a social media post on X, the Azov Brigade expressed its gratitude for the opportunity, stating: “We are grateful to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Command of the National Guard of Ukraine, the “Embassy of Ukraine in the United States of America and all those who have contributed to the successful passing of the verification.”

The State Department's decision overturns previous restrictions that prevented Azov from participating in Western military exercises or accessing U.S.-funded weaponry.

Despite Moscow's persistent claims that it labels Azov a Nazi group and that they allege atrocities, no concrete evidence has been presented to support those allegations, it said. Sunday World.
