“Never let a good crisis go to waste.” The quote once heard by one of Barack Obama's advisers now represents the unjustifiable expansion and abuse of government powers in the Joe Biden era. With the pandemic came a litany of experiments that turned out to be disastrous, from distance learning and expanding the money supply to lockdowns. After all the damage and witnessing everything Biden and his cronies are up to, it seems anything is permissible.
Whether the alternative leads us to a better or worse future is reserved for another day. However, with real incomes declining due to reckless monetary policy, it's no surprise that Biden is in the firing line. When completely reliable polls and fair and balanced outlets like NBC suggest that Donald Trump may be pulling ahead of Biden, “democracy is once again in crisis.” At this stage, anything that doesn't align with a far-left domestic agenda and a hawkish foreign policy is “anti-democratic” and “xenophobic,” according to the usual arguments.
But at a certain point, the gas lighting simply stops working. It is no longer sold as false dichotomies are nothing more than mere justifications for continuing more failed progressive experiments. At some point, they simply cannot tolerate counter-narratives. “You don't have to go down the rabbit hole,” warned the New York Times (the same paper that didn't return the Pulitzer Prize after lying about the Holodomor). They fear their narrative is losing traction. In 2016, it was said that social media and “disinformation” caused Hillary Clinton to lose. During the 2020 general election, the FBI pressed Twitter and Facebook for the Hunter Biden story that many now recognize as true.
