POOR COORDINATION? Bidenomics architect Gene Sperling announced today that he is stepping down as Biden's top economic adviser to become Kamala Harris' top economic adviser. Is it weird that he's leaving just as the economy implodes? Why would Kamala hire a failure? pic.twitter.com/Plq1eA98CX

Having previously served in key economic roles under the likes of Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, Sperling was instrumental in leading Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package that was supposed to bolster the economy
“Under Gene's leadership, the American Rescue Plan has provided economic relief to cities and counties across the country, protected millions in union pensions, made the largest federal investment in public safety and kept afloat thousands of small businesses,” Biden said. a statement delivered to The Associated Press.
The camaraderie between Sperling and Harris dates back to their earlier collaborations during his time as California attorney general. Their synergy extended into the era of the Biden administration, with joint efforts focused on policies such as the rollout of the child tax credit.
Clearing up these concerns, the White House stood firm, attributing the current economic scenario to global factors. Chief of Staff Jeff Zients praised Sperling's strategic maneuvers, saying they have led the nation and “produced the strongest economy in the world.”
