Biden REFUSES to call Trump shooting an 'assassination attempt'

-

A delayed response to the tragedy at former President Donald Trump's rally was met with a resounding refusal from his rival to state the obvious.

“Well, Joe, they took his ear off…you don't need any more data.”

Just days before Trump's assassination attempt Saturday at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, President Joe Biden's mental acuity remained a central focus after his debate disaster. Added concerns about when the incumbent was “at his sharpest” came to the fore as he interrupted another weekend getaway to say next to nothing to the American people after 8 p.m.

Claiming to have been “thoroughly briefed by all agencies of the federal government” before declaring that he had tried to contact Trump and condemned the violence, the head of residence was asked directly: “Do you think it was an attempt to 'murder?'

His answer was widely seen as a negative, as he instead said, “I don't know enough to… I… I have… I have an… I have an opinion, but I don't have any facts. So I want to make sure we have all the facts before I make some comments, more comments.”

Before a White House spokesman confirmed the presidents had spoken to each other, official statements released by Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were no better, with both referring to the incident as a “shooting” at the Pennsylvania demonstration and the latter added. “We pray for him, his family and all those who have been injured and affected by this senseless shooting.”

As the Democratic Party seemed to have succumbed to its instincts to demonize the Second Amendment, reactions to the president's statement about the tragedy, which took the life of one bystander and injured at least two others, were filled with contempt and shame.

After captioning a clip of Biden's statement, “Joe's not ready to go out on a limb and call it an assassination attempt. He needs a quick nap and more facts,” the Barstool Sports founder narrated Dave Portnoy at the end of the statement with his own take: “Well, Joe, his ear was taken off. So I think it's an attempted murder and you don't need any more data. Good job get off the stage but in one take.”

Similarly, BlazeTV host Dave Rubin reacted to the headline's statement as posted by Washington Post White House reporter Matt Viser, saying, “What an absolute disgrace to America this is man”.

Earlier this week, Fox News Senior White House Correspondent Peter Doocy challenged White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, of the president's early dinner schedule, noted, “Well, he also said it's sharper before 8:00 p.m. So, let's say the The Pentagon at some point picks up a nuclear bomb coming in. It's 11:00 PM Who Do You Call: The First Lady?

The spokesman's controversial moment defending Biden's “team” had come under rather sudden scrutiny, as had other comments highlighted by Fox News contributor Joe Concha.

Often demonstrating her own willingness to smear statements by right-wing figures, especially Trump, as violent and inflammatory rhetoric, the mother remained tight-lipped about the sentiment Biden shared during a call with his National Finance Committee on Monday. , as reported by Politico.

Concha wrote on X: “President Biden, July 8, 2024: 'We're done talking about the debate, time to put Trump in a bullseye'. Defend this. Go ahead. Try to defend the rhetoric after what we just witnessed with the arrival of Trump [within] one centimeter from being killed”.

While Biden refused to call the attempt on Trump's life what it was, social media users weren't so shy about finding fault with the incumbent's rhetoric for what happened, reaching to request his resignation.
