President Joe Biden continued his scaremongering about former President Donald Trump, expressing concern that there would be no peaceful transfer of power if he lost the election.
In a taped interview with Bob Costa for “CBS Sunday Morning,” the 81-year-old president, who ended his re-election bid during a lobbying campaign last month, said he is not “confident” that Trump will go quietly
“Are you sure there will be a peaceful transfer of power in January 2025 if Trump wins?” Costa asked in the interview that will be broadcast in its entirety on Sunday.
“If Trump wins, no, I have no confidence at all,” Biden said before catching himself. “I mean if Trump loses, I'm not at all sure.”

“He means what he says. We don't take him seriously,” the president continued in his first interview since dropping out of the 2024 race.
“All the stuff about if we lose, there's going to be a bloodbath, it's a robbery; look at what they're trying to do now in the local constituencies where the people are counting the votes, putting the people in their place in the states they're in. they're going to count the votes,” Biden said, again misinterpreting Trump's comments in a March speech in Dayton, Ohio.
“You can't love your country, only when you win,” Biden told Costa in the interview clip, echoing comments he made in his Oval Office last month.
“Look, I'm not the guy who said I want to be a dictator on day one. I'm not the guy who refused to accept the outcome of the election,” Biden said at the time, continuing the false narrative to attack Trump. “I'm not the guy who said he wouldn't automatically accept the outcome of this election. You can't just love your country when you win.”
While discussing trade policy in the Ohio speech, Trump said there would be a “bloodbath” in the auto industry if he did not win the election, but critics attacked the line and continued to falsely claim that it had meant a literal “bloodbath.” after an electoral defeat.
At the time, Trump responded in a post on Truth Social.
“The fake news media, and their Democratic partners in the destruction of our nation, pretended to be shocked by my use of the word BLOODBATH, even though they understood perfectly well that I was simply referring to Crooked Allowed Imports Joe Biden, who are killing the auto industry,” he wrote in a March post.
“The United Auto Workers, but not their leadership, fully understand what I mean,” he added.
During the only debate between Trump and Biden in June, the president responded to his Republican opponent who said he would accept the result in November “if it's a fair, legal, good election.”
“I tell you what, I doubt you'll take it because you're a whiner,” Biden declared in response. “The idea if you lose again, you accept anything, you can't take the loss, something broke in you when you lost the last time.”
Biden and Democrats have repeatedly accused the former president of inciting violence and an “insurrection” at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
The full interview with Biden will air on “CBS News Sunday Morning” on Sunday, August 11. Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris, who was crowned the Democratic presidential nominee, has yet to hold a press conference or sit-in. interview since he took over the entrance of the party.
“Kamala refuses to do interviews because her team realizes she can't answer questions, just like Biden couldn't answer questions, but for different reasons,” Trump said. he wrote Thursday at Truth Social. “He's just plain 'hot' and she's just plain 'incompetent'.”
