Biden campaign's  million ad buy exposes election interference

The Biden campaign has released a new ad, titled “Character Matters,” as part of a $50 million advertising blitz ahead of the first presidential debate, targeting former President Trump's recent legal challenges.

The new ad highlights Trump's conviction on 34 counts of falsifying business records, calling him a self-serving “convicted criminal.” The announcement marks a stark contrast between Trump's legal battles and Biden's focus on lowering health care costs and ensuring that big corporations pay their fair share.

Biden campaign communications director Michael Tyler didn't hold back in his criticism, saying, “Trump approaches the first debate like a convicted felon who continues to show that he will do anything and hurt anyone if it means more power and revenge to Donald Trump.”

Tyler stressed that in the 2024 presidential campaign, “character matters,” reinforcing the idea that the president of the United States should prioritize service to the American people, not personal gain.

In response, the Trump campaign rejected the ad, calling it a “sham proof (this) always had to be electoral interference”. National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated, “Despite Biden's failed campaign spending nearly $70 million on media buys, President Trump continues to crush Joe Biden in the polls.”

The Biden campaign also revealed plans to invest heavily in black, Latino and Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander voter turnout, calling it the “biggest investment yet” in outreach efforts. It doesn't seem to work.

All eyes are now on him next debate on June 27, hosted by CNN in Atlanta, as the candidates prepare for a showdown.
