“The people you're talking about, for example Thomas Massie, are just constituents who agree with AIPAC's cause and then lobby his office, that's not a manager,” Shapiro said.

Shapiro also outraged Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for suggesting that “AIPAC has control of the United States Congress.”

These claims are “absurd on a grand scale, I mean… this… is just ridiculous, okay?” Shapiro said.

An untold secret in Congress is that much of the support for the reflexive, blind, unconditional vote on almost any action by the Israeli government does not come from a real deal.

After reading the AOC's tweet claiming that Congress votes for Israel out of fear of the Israel lobby, Shapiro spun around and used misdirection to act like it was no big deal and then suggested that anyone who doesn't agree is just antisemitic and full of “hatred of Israel and Jews”. .”

“This is very reminiscent of the kind of language people used to use about the NRA, they say 'oh, the NRA controls gun policy,' and it turns out they don't, there's just a lot of Americans who support gun rights of guns and then Many of their congressmen also support gun rights and when their constituents support something they often tend to support it,” Shapiro said. “It turns out that the American people are overwhelmingly pro-Israel, except for AOC and Nick Fuentes, who lock guns in their hatred of Israel and the Jews.”

Such nonsense can be easily debunked by the fact that more than half of Americans want the US to stop sending weapons to Israel and yet not nearly half of our Congress feels the same way. While in the past Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) was typically the only congressman willing to vote against Israel and defy AIPAC's will, more recently a dozen congressmen have been willing to tepidly challenge the his will, but nowhere. about half
