“Barbie” actress Margot Robbie went cold turkey at the Oscar nominations on Tuesday, prompting cries of sexism and patriarchy to immediately ensue, lighting up social media with faux outrage.
“Ryan Gosling was nominated for Best Supporting Actor and America Ferrera was nominated for Best Supporting Actress, but both released statements expressing their disappointment that neither Robbie nor Greta Herwig, the director, were nominated.” The Blaze reported
“Against all odds with nothing but a couple of soulless, scantily clad, and thankfully crotchless dolls, made us laugh, broke our hearts, pushed culture and made history. His work should be recognized along with the other very deserving nominees,” proclaimed Gosling, who played “Ken” in the cult production.
After making this statement, the actor said that he was very “honored” to receive the nomination.

“I am so honored to be nominated by my peers alongside such remarkable artists in a year of so many great films,” said the actor. “And I never thought I'd say this, but I'm also incredibly honored and proud that it's to portray a plastic doll named Ken.”
“There is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two main people responsible for this historic and world-famous film. No recognition would be possible for anyone in the film film without his talent, courage and genius,” Gosling said in a statement sent to people.

“I was incredibly disappointed that they weren't nominated,” actress Ferrera lamented in a statement to variety.
“Greta has done almost everything a director can do could do to deserve it“, he affirmed. “Creating this world and taking something that had no inherent value to most people and turning it into a global phenomenon. It feels disappointing not to see her on this list.”
Social media exploded after the slight went viral.
“Never forget that the system is rigged: Greta Gerwig made an incredible feminist film about BARBIE that challenged culture and patriarchy. The film made a billion dollars at the box office. The Oscar nomination go for KEN…” one person laughed.

“Ryan Gosling, even though he deserved it, got an Oscar nomination for Barbie while Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie didn't? Completely proving the point of the movie at 20 f***ing 24 you can't make it up- ho,” another person said angrily.

The leftist outrage went on and on and on…
“Nominating Ken and not Barbie is honestly very fitting for a movie about a man discovering the power of patriarchy in the real world,” lamented one obvious progressive.

Still others didn't find much to be angry about, but did find the eating left to be a curious development.
Investor Charles Payne wrote in X: “Ryan Gosling is getting an Oscar nomination while Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie didn't make the antithesis of the 'Barbie' movie (I didn't see it and I won't bother with the Oscar)?”

Ben Shapiro of The Daily Wire published in X, “If Ryan Gosling's Ken wins the only Oscar for 'Barbie,' it will be absolutely hilarious.”
The movie “Barbie” grossed more than $1.44 billion worldwide, according to The Blaze.
