A short video on X.com that was taken by C-Span during the APEC conference on November 15 revealed a US Serviceman holding a Chinese Communist flag while in full uniform. The difficulty with it is that it is on American soil, and the United States Flag is not present in the picture frame. It is also the flag of an adversary, not a friendly nation. Many people were enraged, including veterans who fought under the American flag.
My father fought in the Korean War. I miss him with all my heart, yet I am grateful he never had to see an American serviceman holding a communist Chinese flag. pic.twitter.com/ACk9GgXK00

I normally do not post political or religious content on LI, but I can’t sit idle as if nothing is happening and not say something. What I observed from the streets of San Francisco in the news was bad enough, but this is beyond disturbing. This is our military along with a sitting president paying homage to the CCP flag in place of the flag of the United States of America while on American soil! This is beyond treason by the current sitting administration. It’s almost like we are witnessing a transfer of power to the CCP. Every American should be concerned. This has never (in my lifetime) happened before, and I certainly can’t think of another time in the history of our nation when our government paid homage to a communist regime. Ryan F. So is it “legal” for military personnel to hold a foreign flag while in uniform? This is an excerpt from the Military’s instruction on the subject:
(1) U.S. military personnel in a foreign location may carry the official national flag of
foreign nations participating in official civil ceremonies sponsored and conducted by the U.S.
Government or a State, county, or municipal government.
(a) An official of the foreign nation concerned must be present in an official capacity
to receive such honors.
(b) The official must be an individual to whom honors normally are rendered.
(2) In all other public programs or ceremonies, Service members in uniform and in an
official capacity must not carry flags of foreign nations, veterans’ groups, or other non-military
organizations. DoD instruction
While some of the responses to the posting on LinkedIn also mentioned Army Regulation 600-25, most of that deals with national anthems and presentation of arms for courtesy and honors. It states that the Army Chief of State or Secretary of the Army may issue waivers or the President, which is likely what occurred here. However it happened, it is a dishonor to America and another Biden embarrassment for our nation.
Is America headed for a recession?
