Arsenal beat Bournemouth in thrilling US tour opener

Arsenal began their three-match US tour with a thrilling win over Bournemouth, winning 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in Los Angeles. The first half saw Arsenal take the lead, thanks to a stunning volley from Fabio Vieira, who expertly met Reiss Nelson's deep cross and headed it into the bottom corner.

The match was very contested, with three players receiving warnings. Arsenal goalkeeper Karl Hein made crucial saves against Dominic Solanke and Daniel Jebbison, the latter signed by Sheffield United this summer. Despite Hein's best efforts, he could not keep out Antoine Semenyo's shot, which deflected off Omar Rekik and found its way into the far corner.

Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto made a crucial save against Leandro Trossard in the dying moments of the game, following a brilliant move from Martin Odegaard. The game was ultimately decided by a pre-planned penalty shootout, with Ryan Christie's missed shot proving to be the turning point.

All of Arsenal's experienced players were involved, except for Emile Smith Rowe, who is rumored to be moving to Fulham. This game marks the end of Bournemouth's tour of California, which also included a draw with Wrexham. Arsenal, on the other hand, will face Manchester United at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday.
