Army faces 'TikTok riot' complaining about pay, food, tests amid recruitment nightmare

-

The military's woes continue to worsen with spoiled Gen Z recruits now taking to TikTok to complain about low pay, food, physical fitness tests and how inconvenient the service is.

The social media uproar adds to recruiting woes the military is experiencing under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief Joe Biden.

Several videos have surfaced of uniformed troops at US bases giving the US military the figurative middle finger. They come as the Army missed its recruitment target once again, ending up short 15,000 of the 65,000 recruits needed by 2023.

The Army is not alone, the Navy also fell short by 10,000 and the Air Force will miss its target by 10 percent.

The US military is now the smallest it has been in over 80 years. Desperate, the Pentagon has issued a “call for national service” for recruits, which could foreshadow a draft.

In 2022, nine percent of young Americans aged 16 to 21 considered register for military service according to the Pentagon. This is 13 percent more than before the pandemic. The numbers have been going down for some time.

One of military influencer Anthony Laster's videos absolutely rocks being in the military and ends with “Go AirForce!”

“No privacy, pay hurts, crappy food, disrespectful leadership, WE ARE NOT!” the video that has been viewed more than 600,000 times is crying.

“Laster, from Chicago, has more than a million followers on TikTok and made public comments regularly while on a mission in the desert. In another post he claimed he spent the entire day watching TikToks while allegedly fighting the Taliban . daily mail reported

“It makes a sorry impression America's fighting forces to potential recruits, which is likely to lead to more animosity towards TikTok from critics. Politicians on both sides are concerned about the platform's ties to China and accuse it of pushing subversive anti-American propaganda,” the paper added.

It's not just spoiled recruits obsessed with social media who are failing the military. President Biden and his administration have unleashed an “awakening” within the ranks and allegedly purged conservatives from the military. It is now seen by many as weak and perverse with its message of diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as drag shows and rampant political correctness.

Fitness is now a major issue in the military as well. Many recruits are woefully out of shape and in a word… fat.

“About 23 percent of soldiers were registered as obese by 2021, according to a recent study of data from the Military Health System Data Repository,” the Daily Mail noted. “Not only are recruits not fit enough to join, but their fitness is also declining once they are in the ranks, and officials are struggling to install weight loss and exercise regimes” .

New recruits are reportedly upset about having to maintain their weight, being treated harshly by superiors, and having to do tasks they feel are beneath them instead of entering the battlefield.

Complaints about pay are also widespread and a problem. There are more than 20,000 soldiers on active duty forced to buy food stamps just to make it to the end of the month according to federal data.

The unrealistic expectations of young recruits are also surprising. It's something previous generations would have scoffed at.

“Sgt Barber, 25, filming himself in his uniform, admits he has already been 'counseled because of a TikTok video', but tells his 68,000 followers: “before heading to the 'recruiting office, watch this video… If you don't like your freedom was suppressed a bit, not really, then I wouldn't join the army,' wrote the Daily Mail.

“In addition to warning against get-rich-quick fantasies in the military, Barber also says that life in the military is 'mopping those floors 99 percent of the time' rather than fighting the war.” and if you deploy, you probably won't see combat today in this world, so if that's your mindset. Don't join!'” the outlet continued.

Recruits who post the videos could face disciplinary action. Especially those released through TikTok, which is a platform apparently controlled by the Chinese Communists.
