Officers reportedly ordered Berry to drop the gun before the officer-involved shooting occurred.

The incident took place on June 30 at an apartment complex in the 100 block of South Orange Street in Xenia.

Police responded to reports of a man firing a gun at the complex, with additional reports of a man pointing a gun at the apartment complex manager.

Two officers at the scene observed Berry pointing a gun at them, prompting them to shoot. The agents, who have not been identified, have been placed on administrative leave.

A total of six Xenia police officers and several Greene County Sheriff's deputies participated in the response.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is conducting the criminal investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact BCI at 855-224-6446.

Berry is currently being held in the Greene County Jail on $500,000 bond and will soon face the charges.
