DEI has placed itself in every corner of the world and every aspect of life. Even the criminals seem to be getting dumber by the day, which might sound like a treat, but they're still wreaking havoc. Take, for example, the arsonist in Australia who managed to set fire to a barber shop and set himself on fire in the process, and the whole saga was captured on video.

CCTV footage captured the arsonist accidentally setting himself on fire while trying to set fire to a barber shop. The suspect stumbles out of the building, desperately trying to put out the flames, before running away, probably smelling like barbecue.

The footage shows two people in black clothing outside Gold Blade Barbers in Canberra, Australia at around 11.40pm on July 6.

With a hammer, one of them begins to make a hole big enough for a human to fit through the glass door of the barber shop.

The store had already closed for the evening when the second thug crawls inside through the broken hole and carries a can inside.

Wearing a motorcycle helmet to conceal his identity, the hapless criminal begins pouring liquid from the can all over the store.

In the video, the other member of the duo stands outside and can be heard telling his partner to “hurry up” and saying: “let's go let's go”.

That's when the person inside the store takes out a lighter and tries to ignite a rag that has been soaked in the fuel inside the can.

But his criminal plan is derailed when a huge fireball engulfs the arsonist and the barber shop as a result of the gasoline spill.

The panicked thug can be seen running to the window and then jumping through the hole in the glass.

Many speculate whether it was an act of revenge, random violence or perhaps insurance fraud. Time will tell. In the meantime, we hope the authorities track down the arsonist, following the trail of elbows in the grill might be a good start.
