The event took place around 10:30 a.m. at a local QuikTrip gas station, where an individual allegedly attempted to rob the location. Acting quickly, a patron present during the robbery intervened and pulled out a firearm and fired at the suspect, who succumbed to his injuries instantly.
Local law enforcement arrived quickly after reports of the altercation and discovered the suspect with fatal gunshot wounds. Initial findings confirmed that the dead person was indeed the robbery suspect.
