An active shooter committed with SWAT teams during a standoff in Columbus, Ohio today.
The incident is unfolding near West 8th Avenue after reports of shots fired in the area.

Law enforcement, including K9 units and SWAT teams, responded to the scene.
The shooter fired at the officers, although there are no confirmed reports of injuries at this time.
Photos from the scene show a heavy police presence, with ABC 6 noting that 16 police vehicles were dispatched.
Police scanners indicate several apartment buildings have been evacuated as the situation continues.
A dispatcher reported a 911 call was received regarding a break-in in the University District, with shots fired into an apartment by a suspect.
Upon arrival, officers observed the suspect reload the gun before barricading himself in the area.
The dispatcher also confirmed that the suspect and police exchanged gunfire twice, but there were no injuries.
