An investigation into the leak of the Nashville shooter's manifesto has turned up absolutely nothing.
In an email to reporters Friday afternoon, Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) Chief John Drake said they have “exhausted all available avenues of investigation to identify the individual who leaked photographs that they contained three pages of writings from the Covenant school shooter,” according to locals. station WKRN.
He added that the investigation revealed that no MNPD employee, or employee of partner agencies, was responsible for the unauthorized leak.
“Employees placed on administrative assignment during the investigation have since returned to their regular duties, according to police,” WKRN notes.
Several people were reportedly investigated, including a former MNPD detective who had handled the manifesto as part of his duties. However, the detective declined to be interviewed and is now no longer with the department.
As previously reported, images of the manifesto (not the manifesto itself) were leaked to conservative podcaster Steven Crowder in early November.
With pages visibly dated February 3 and March 27, 2023, the date of the attack, the images posted on social media by Crowder highlighted a timeline for the premeditated killing, featuring shooter Audrey Hale , their intended goals and their final thoughts.
Well, that's not interesting.

The manifesto was leaked despite a fervent attempt by left-wing parties to prevent it from ever seeing the light of day.
For example, last March a number of LGBT groups began calling for the manifesto to never be made public because doing so could inspire other mass shooters.
“It shouldn't be published. The focus should be on how this could happen in the first place. There shouldn't be such easy access to deadly weapons,” Jordan Budd, executive director of Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere (COLAGE).
“The contents do not change the outcome of the tragedy. Regardless of the shooter's intentions, the real issue here is the ease of access to deadly weapons in Tennessee and elsewhere. All children, regardless of who their parents are or how they identify, should feel safe and supported at school. That includes a world free of gun violence,” he added.
Even Charles Moran, the national president of Log Cabin Republicans, an LGBT rights group, seemed to agree with some of what Budd said, telling Newsweek that publishing Hale's manifesto could lead to “serious consequences.”
“While it would certainly provide insight into the motivations of this deeply troubled individual that could help shed light on the root causes, we know from tragedies like this that further glorification of the shooter could inspire others to take similar violent acts to call out attention,” he said. .
Laura McGinnis, a spokeswoman for PFLAG, the nation's largest LGBT group, also agreed, warning that publishing the manifesto could “increase the risk of contagion,” Newsweek reports.

Two months later, Nashville lawyers presented the manifesto to a judge for review after a pair of lawsuits were filed by right-wing parties.
A lawsuit was filed by the National Police Association. The other was filed by the law firm of former Trump administration official Stephen Miller, America First Legal.
In a statement, America First Legal Vice President and General Counsel Gene Hamilton emphasized that the public has a right to read the manifesto.
“A deranged transgender psychopath took six innocent lives and struck at the heart of a close-knit community. As we grieve for the families and pray that God's peace, righteousness and perfect justice will prevail over all affected by this horrific situation, the fact is that the public has a right to see these documents,” he said.
“This is not the time to play for ideological reasons, and we will fight to help our client obtain the documents he requested and to which he is entitled under the law,” he added.

As previously reported, Nashville shooter Audrey Hale was a “transgender male” who opened fire at The Covenant School on March 27, killing six people before being killed by police.
According to reports, Hale left a manifesto at his home and it was strongly suspected that the manifesto contained the motive for his heinous actions. Incidentally, the leak of the manifesto proved this to be 100 percent true…
