Albuquerque, New Mexico is experiencing a “cultural shift” in government driven by the toxic tenets of critical race theory.
This is according to Fox NewsBut as the network reported, it gets even worse when you consider who the city hired to help push its equity agenda: In the eyes of the left, equity represents a moral cause for justifying discrimination against white
When he was first elected in 2017, Democratic Mayor Tim Keller promised that change would come: “From day one of our administration, we knew that inequality was growing and that we needed to change the culture. When has it never been comfortable to learn and grow?
Since taking office, incorporating equity into our work to make ABQ safer and more inclusive has been a priority:
and 2020 showed how crucial this is. Our team is looking forward to continuing this progress in 2021. #OneAlbuquerque @CABQRaceEquity pic.twitter.com/EqVGawF6p7— Mayor Tim Keller (@MayorKeller) January 5, 2021
“Keller established the Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) in March 2018 to implement his vision for racial equity,” Fox News reported. “The office created critical race theory training and made some employees uncomfortable along the way, the OEI director said in the 2021 report.”
The city hired an equity consultant by the name of Zamil Salhab, who was motivated into activism by the “terror” of the US military, which she says is the “home of white supremacy.”
Salhab is with the far-left firm RACED Consulting, which displays the following bio for her on its website:
Zamil Salhab is a first-generation genderqueer, post-9-11 American veteran. They became politicized upon returning from the war, having recognized the deep layers of colonialism and terror that the US military has perpetrated at home and abroad. […]
The culmination of his experiences in the military and in civilian life, he codified the deep limitations of white supremacist culture and behavior, and its effects on his emotional, mental, and physical health. Zamil speaks truth to the culture of white supremacy and the behaviors and language that maintain its structure, and its impact on BIPOC and QTBIPOC communities.
The city confirmed that the Office of Equity and Inclusion “contracted with RACED Consulting LLC,” according to Fox News. Salhab is listed as a “co-founder” of the group on LinkedIn.
The following workshops are highlighted on the website:
White Fragility: Understanding the Impact
Problematizing Whiteness: A Personal Approach to Decentering Whiteness, Disrupting White Supremacy, and Being Complicit
Disrupt the whiteness at the collaborative table
“We will explore white fragility and its impact on the construction of racially inclusive practices. We learn common ways it can appear and how to manage it when it does, and how to create a process to hold each other accountable for fostering equitable practices. We share experiences personal encounters with white fragility and its effect on you and those around you,” RACED Consulting says of the first listed course.
For the second year in a row, ABQ received a perfect score on the National LGBTQ+ Report Card! This represents our city's commitment to equity and inclusion, and we will continue to enact policies and initiatives that protect and help our LGBTQ+ community thrive.#OneAlbuquerque pic.twitter.com/JBGffcMVYi

To be clear, Salhab harbors a real hatred for the US military, as seen in remarks he made in June 2020 during a Veterans for Peace panel discussion.
“Being first generation and being black, being queer. And then going into what I believe is the home of white supremacy and patriarchy: the military,” said the left-wing extremist. “Little did I realize the damage it was doing to me mentally, spiritually, emotionally and of what I would have to go through to deconstruct myself … after I get out of the service after I come back from my tours in Iraq and learn to love who I am.”
“Because society doesn't just teach that black bodies are less than… and then being a woman,” Salhab continued. “So to deal with these different intersectionalities of the construction of white supremacy, it was, you know, for a period of time I thought I was crazy, I thought I was crazy.”
And Albuquerque taxpayers are now on the hook for this extreme left to shape their city.
