A shooting on the VSU campus leaves four injured

Chaos erupted on the Virginia State University campus early Wednesday when four people were shot, prompting a swift response from Chesterfield County police. The incident took place around 12:30 p.m. on Boisseau Street, and although the victims suffered injuries, they are all expected to survive, according to police reports, he said. CBS 6 News.

The Ettrick campus was locked down immediately after the shooting, but reopened about five hours later. “There is no further threat to the VSU community in connection with this incident,” police said in a statement.

Witnesses at the scene described a heavy police presence, with officers cordoning off the parking lot near Daniel Gym. Crime scene investigators were seen meticulously collecting evidence in paper bags well into the morning.
