The Democratic establishment is lining up behind the vice president Kamala Harris to replace the president Joe Biden as a candidate for the presidency of the party. Biden, former President Bill Clinton, Speaker Emeritus Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), former First Lady Hillary Clinton and Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) have endorsed Harris for president, which is great news if you're an illegal immigrant.
The southern border is already an issue under the Biden administration, with Harris as its seat tsar of the border. However, if Harris becomes president, the problem will likely get much worse.
Harris is to the left of Biden in many areas, especially on immigration. During his 2020 presidential bid, Harris, a supporter of “Medicare for all,” supported free, taxpayer-funded health care for illegal immigrants. Compare that to Biden, who wanted allow illegal immigrants to purchase a public option health care plan without subsidies. Both are bad ideas, but at least Biden opposed offering free health insurance plans to illegal immigrants.
Harris too running is decriminalize illegal border crossings, which even Biden opposes. Harris said “An undocumented immigrant is not a criminal” during his tenure as California attorney general in 2015.
So not only did Harris want more government aid for illegal immigrants, but he also wanted to reduce the penalty for people entering the country illegally to a civil offense instead of a criminal one.
Harris is the same politician who drew parallels between Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Ku Klux Klan, claiming that ICE feeds fear into Latinos the way the KKK did black Americans.
“You know there's a perception that ICE is administering its power in a way that is causing fear and intimidation, particularly among immigrants and specifically among immigrants from Mexico and Central America?” Harris said in November 2018.
It doesn't matter that ICE removes child rapists and killers from America. His priority he is freeing the US from the worst criminals who are in the country illegally. ICE is not bent on arresting and deporting everyone who illegally picks strawberries with a clean record.
However, if Harris thinks entering the country illegally is not a crime, one has to wonder if an ICE in the Harris administration would preemptively deport heinous criminals with rap sheets in other countries before they get here.
Since at least 2006, Harris has also supported the concept of sanctuary citiessomething from the Biden administration now he objects a little. Like the government documents and reduced legal penalties associated with illegal border crossings, sanctuary cities are a magnet for illegal immigrants because they refuse to cooperate with federal law enforcement , which makes it harder to deport criminal illegal immigrants.

The Biden administration has had approx 2 million “getaways” on the southern border and during Biden's tenure, Border Patrol agents have detained people 180 different countries at our borders. People from all over the world, including criminals, are taking advantage of our weak borders. Imagine how much worse things could get with an even more radical president like Harris.
If Democrats have any interest in securing the southern border, they need to pick someone else as their presidential nominee.
