UPDATE: NAME OF SHOOTER: The shooter has been named as Thomas Crooks of Bethel Park, PA, in the Pittsburgh metro area. The National Pulse found Federal Election Commission (FEC) data matching a location name in Bethel Park that, if it's the same person, shows the shooter was a donor to the Progressive Turnout Project through ActBlue, a left-wing political fundraising platform. . The Progressive Turnout Project helps elect far-left Democrats to Congress and other offices.

Confusion was sparked earlier on the internet when a man claiming to be Thomas Matthew Crooks posted a video saying: “You've got the wrong man.”

The New York Post apparently got the name of the shooter right, but published a photo of the wrong man, prompting the gentleman above to post the video.
Plot twist: The NY Post was right all along about the ID, but not about their photos.
The FBI has confirmed that the shooter was Thomas Matthew Crooks.
