Replace Kamala with Hillary? Obama, top Democrats may have a secret plot to oust Biden after the debate

Democrats have a serious problem with Joe Biden, and top party members may be planning to intervene before the brash octogenarian costs them the White House.

Faced with the stark reality that their Biden propaganda has failed to convince voters of the 81-year-old's mental fitness for four more years, the Democratic political elite is on the verge of shutting down their candidate who doesn't work if he doesn't he gets it perform in next week's debate with former President Donald J. Trump.

The debate, the first-ever head-to-head between the candidates, is a bid by Team Biden to turn around his poll numbers in an environment that is heavily tilted in his favor, aired by CNN and moderated by furiously partisan Trump haters Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.

“I think there will be a debate, they've deliberately thrown down the gauntlet for an early debate, and I think that will be the point at which the American people will judge: Is he ready for another term or not?” said Mark Penn, former Clinton adviser and polling guru.

With rules set up to give Biden an advantage, there is no excuse for him not to “win” the debate. But if he steps on a rake on national television, the game's big hitters are ready to make their move.

According to the daily mailif Biden crashes and burns in the debate, “It's going to take a united front of big liberals to make Joe throw in the towel.”

“The only people who could force him out would be Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer,” an unnamed Democratic strategist told the press. “It should be the four of them collectively.”

But this move to unseat the notoriously stubborn Biden could be risky.

“One consultant theatrically described the level of difficulty in replacing his candidate as akin to trying to convert that doomed container ship that pulled into Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge in May,” according to the outlet. “This sad story ended with a total collapse and six deaths.”

Convincing Biden to take one for the team isn't the only obstacle the party's elites will face. There's also the matter of dealing with Vice President Kamala Harris, a DEI pick that has come back to bite Democrats.

“It doesn't just become Kamala. Kamala only becomes the nominee if Biden dies,” the Daily Mail quoted an unnamed consultant as saying. Another Dem political insider believes she “has failed so badly as vice president that it has made it nearly impossible for Biden to step down, because the party would have to fight a progressive pushback to get past the potential first black woman president.”

Swapping Biden for anyone other than his hand-picked veep could drive a wedge into the party if Harris is snubbed in favor of a white replacement, instantly prompting howls of racism.

One name that was not mentioned among the Democrats who would call on Biden to step down is Hillary Clinton, the failed presidential candidate who has a strong base of staunch loyalists, including the Washington Post.

“Maybe Hillary Clinton could come to the rescue,” said WaPo columnist Kathleen Parker he wrotesuggesting that Democrats should dump Kamala entirely and replace her with Mrs. Clinton as Biden's running mate.

“Undoubtedly, a major obstacle to a Biden victory is Kamala Harris, whose low popularity has not been improved by her lackluster performance as vice president. More independents and disenchanted Republicans might swing for Biden if not whether it was from the perspective of a President Harris, not because of his gender, race or any other demographic category, but because of his competence or lack thereof,” according to Parker.

“No one has mentioned her as a possible running mate for Biden as far as I know, but why not replace Harris with Clinton? At 76, she may not want to be in it, but it's hard to retire when you feel like your work is not done,” he wrote. “If Biden has to resign, even those who didn't vote for Clinton would have confidence in his ability to keep the country on track.”

So here it is: a way to usher Hillary into the presidency she's always felt entitled to.

Democrats will have to do something drastic or risk going down with the ship and its weak captain, leaving control of the Justice Department and the legal system to Trump, who probably rightly fears he will use the precedent they have set. against them
