Now it’s “very hard” to be a Jew in the Democratic Party

The reaction to Israel’s war against the terrorist organization Hamas in Gaza has ripped off the mask of the House Democratic caucus to reveal the ugly face of Jew-hatred that has been introduced like a virus by members of the ” Squad” of the extreme left.

A Democrat who is concerned about how anti-Semitism has infected his party, Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) said it is “very difficult” to be a person of Jewish faith in a party that has been consumed by its antipathy for Israel, which militant progressives seem to despise even more than whites.

Phillips, who just announced a primary challenge to President Joe Biden, appeared on Friday’s edition of HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher” where the topic of troubling party leadership came up.

he he said host that, “being a Jewish member of Congress in the Democratic Caucus is very difficult right now,” adding that there seems to be a “lack of progressive love when it comes to our door.”

Maher, who is an old-school liberal of the kind no longer welcome in the party, asked the congressman if the modern Democratic Party is too “obsessed with race?”

“I have never walked in the shoes of my black brothers and sisters, my brown brothers and sisters, my Asian-American brother[s] and sisters They have never walked in my shoes. I love them all. I think it’s problematic, I think that’s why maybe we’re not winning the elections that we should be and we need to be right now,” Phillips said.

“I think we need to be more inclusive in the way we speak and we’re not actually practicing. And by the way, being a Jewish member of Congress in the Democratic Caucus is very difficult right now, you can imagine,” he added. “And there’s apparently a lack of progressive love when it comes to our door. And it’s problematic. I know I don’t look like someone whose community could need support, affection or protection.”

Maher’s conversation with Phillips aired hours after Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) posted a short video on X, formerly Twitter, in which she promotes the slogan “From the river to the sea,” a call for the genocide of Israelis that has been sung in rallies by those who call for the eradication of Jewish democracy and its inhabitants.

Not only is the “Hamas caucus” stirring up hatred against Israel, which has manifested itself in an explosion of bigotry against all Jews, but the Biden regime has taken the position that Islamophobia is the highest priority right now , showing the priorities of an administration that is not only openly hostile to whites, but also seems indifferent to an alarming rise in anti-Semitism that has been openly promoted by people like Tlaib, Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and their “Squad” cohorts.

Taking on hate is a national priority.

“We’re at risk if we keep fighting each other on any line — racial lines, economic lines, we’ve got to unify, we’ve got to take care of people,” Phillips said. “I love my Republican brothers and sisters as much as I love my Democrats.”
