BROOKLYN, NY-
Democratic hacker New York Attorney General Letitia James likes to talk about “no one is above the law.” Of course, he says that about former President Donald Trump. When it comes to herself, however, that’s a different story. Previously hidden documents show that James may have a money problem, a dark money problem. And Laura Loomer took the receipts to his piece on Substack.
Think about it. Like other politicians in both parties, including the current occupant of the White House, James has managed to fill his bank account while working most of his life in the public sector, which is not intended to be a path to great wealth .
That hasn’t stopped lawmakers like Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) and many others from amassing enormous wealth.
Somehow, living on a civil servant’s salary, James could afford a sweet four-story brownstone in the Brooklyn neighborhood, which he bought in 2001, now believed to be worth a few million dollars.
Over the years, James has had several, shall we say, illegal renovations done to his home at 296 Lafayette Ave. In 2007, the New York City Department of Buildings cited her for a “dangerous” violation for improperly installing scaffolding on her home, nor did the scaffolding workers have proper identification. Probably these illegal “migrants” James is constantly lamenting to protect.
In 2011, despite owning a home worth seven figures, James negotiated a deal to lower his monthly mortgage by crying poverty and applying for an affordable mortgage modification agreement.
In the affidavit, among other claims, James said he is “experiencing financial difficulties and as a result (i) I am in default according to the loan documents and (ii) I do not have sufficient income or access to sufficient liquid assets. to make monthly mortgage payments now or in the future.”
In 2017, James, then a candidate for New York attorney general who campaigned on the promise to “get Trump,” modified his multiple mortgages into a single loan for $625,000. However, a mysterious affidavit was attached with a note from a Wells Fargo Bank attorney, Willard F. Miller.
This note referred to an additional loan previously issued in the amount of $770,000 on May 21, 2016 to Christopher J. French and Kristen French. The affidavit was attached and recorded with your last mortgage consolidation filed in Nassau County, New York.
Loomer noted that there does not appear to be any financial connection to Christopher or Kristen French anywhere in the United States, leading to the belief that those names were an alias to hide the appearance of so-called dark money in Letitia James’ bank accounts.
In conducting the investigation, were there any financial or professional ties between James and New Yorkers with the last name French who were connected to the New York Democratic Party?
One possibility is a man named Christian J. French, chief operating officer of WRNN, a regional news network serving New York City. He is a long-time hater of former President Trump. WRNN’s US partners include Al Jazeera English.
Also, Christian French’s brother hosts a far-left talk show, “Richard French Live.” At the same time, Christian is allegedly a board member of several leftist organizations doing business in New York City and New York State.
Christian French’s LinkedIn profile shows that he is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hudson Link. On its website, this organization calls itself a “progressive” organization that:
“…provides college education, life skills and re-entry support to currently and formerly incarcerated individuals so they can make a positive impact on their own lives, families and communities, resulting in lower rates of recidivism and higher rates of employment, community regeneration, cohesion and reciprocity”.
In a likely connection to James, one of the members of Hudson Link’s Board of Directors is Annette Johnson, who at one time served as an Assistant Attorney General in the New York State Attorney General’s Office, where now held by Letitia James.
Another connection involves another Hudson Links board member, Mayo Bartlett, the lead attorney at the Law Offices of Mayo Bartlett, PLLC. He appeared regularly on “Richard French Live” on WRNN as a member of the legal panel.
On June 15, 2022, May appeared on a legal panel with James while displaying a banner boasting of his appearance on the panel with her featured prominently on her company’s website.
Richard French, on the RNN-TV website, boasts about his ties to former President Barack Obama:
“The Emmy Award-winning program is a forum that features politicians, pundits and personalities as contributors, from President Obama to the biggest newsmakers from the national to the regional level. A multi-Emmy and state broadcaster, Richard came to broadcasting from the world of politics.”
He is also an avid Trump hater, with most episodes of his YouTube channel featuring anti-Trump content.
The $770,000 loan that James has been burying and hiding in his financial disclosures is nowhere to be found in the 34-page mortgage agreement dated 3/11/2017 on file with the Office of the Recorder of the City of New York. He also did not mention the $770,000 loan in financial disclosure forms filed with the state election commission during his campaign for New York attorney general.
“No one is above the law.” Except for Letitia James, that is. Failure to disclose the loan in financial disclosures is illegal. What exactly is James trying to hide? For someone who likes to whine about Donald Trump’s alleged “crimes,” he has his own questionable financial tricks to answer for.
Loomer has the receipts and released a copy of James’ 2022 financial statement, which only addressed the $625,000 Wells Fargo mortgage, without mentioning the origins of French’s $770,000 loan. It also approached loans from Citizens Bank, First Savings Bank and Citibank, all with a minimum value of $100,000 each.
The funny part is that James is going after President Trump for allegedly “overvaluing” his properties and business assets. However, he has evidently buried a $700,000 loan. There is also the question of who Christopher French is. Did James use a false name on a signed affidavit, which is illegal?
As Loomer suggests, it’s unknown, but all of this seems to warrant an investigation by the New York State Inspector General. We won’t hold our breath.
