American Airlines passenger behind ‘not real’ viral rant that delayed travelers for hours identified as marketing executive

-

The burst came out of the air…pods.

The woman behind the epic plane meltdown where he proclaimed that “that back mother ain’t real” to bewildered passengers is a Texas marketing executive who told police the rant was sparked by an argument over wireless headphones.

Dallas resident Tiffany Gomas was kicked off the plane after her outburst caused hours of delays for other passengers, documents reviewed by The Post show.

Despite claiming that “I’m taking shit, and there’s a reason why I’m taking shit” in the viral video of her storming up and down the aisle of the plane, the 38-year-old wasn’t prepared to leave the American Airlines flight and had to be removed by staff, according to police documents.

Before heading to the front of the plane, Gomas added to his address to passengers: “You can sit on this plane and you can die with them or not. I’m not going.”

The argument had started when Gomas confronted the family members he was traveling with, accusing them of stealing his AirPods, police said.

“The woman then began to state that the plane was unsafe and she did not want the plane to leave because she believed it would not reach its destination,” the July 2 complaint says.

“Due to the statements, the flight attendants felt that the aircraft needed to be checked. [The airline manager] he explained that the passenger was denied boarding and that they wanted him to listen to her in the public part.”

All other passengers on Flight 1009 from Fort Worth to Orlando were then forced to deboard so they could be screened again by security as a precaution due to the nature of Gomas’ complaints.

“TSA personnel arrived on the scene to conduct a full inspection of the aircraft,” the filing revealed.

When officers arrived at the gate, Gomas was “distraught” and trying to get back on the plane. When officers from the Dallas-Fort Worth Department of Public Safety tried to speak with Gomas, she refused.

“[The airline manager] gave Gomes a verbal warning of criminal trespass, explaining that he was denied boarding and that he needed to exit the secure area,” investigators noted.

The rejected passenger was eventually escorted to the non-secure area of the airport, but that didn’t stop him from trying to get back through TSA screening and into the boarding area several times, the documents say.

Police eventually tracked Gomas to the sidewalk of the terminal, where she was sitting waiting for an Uber.

He was given a ticket for a criminal trespass notice which he refused to sign. Gomas did not show police his identification, according to the complaint. She was never officially arrested or detained. Through a representative, Gomas declined to comment on the incident to The Post.

Although his reputation has taken a hit, at least legally, Gomas is likely to be in the clear.

“The viral video is the awesome part of it, but I doubt you’ll see a huge prosecution for that.” Adam Loewy, Austin attorney he told The Post.
