Trump says Biden is bad for the country: ‘Very incompetent’

FPresident Donald Trump warned Thursday that President Joe Biden is bad for America, calling him a “gross incompetent” during his first campaign rally since Biden announced his re-election campaign.

Trump said the country is in a dangerous position under Biden and that the current president is “very close” to destroying the US and its values.

“We are a nation in serious decline, a nation that has lost its way,” Trump told an audience in New Hampshire. “It’s Biden who represents the threat to democracy because he’s so incompetent, he has no idea what he’s doing, and he basically has no idea, and that’s a very bad position to put our country in. They’re headed for a desperate person.”

Trump revealed that he was withdrawing the word “crooked” when referring to former Secretary of State and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and would reserve it for Biden.

“I’m going to give [Clinton] a new name, I don’t know, like maybe ‘Lovely Hillary’ or ‘Beautiful Hillary,'” Trump said. “But I’m going to retire the name ‘Crooked’ so we can use the name Joe Biden. because from now on he will be known as “crooked Joe Biden”. There has never been anyone in the history of American politics as crooked or dishonest as Joe Biden.”

Biden announced Tuesday that he was seeking re-election in 2024, ending months of speculation about his future. However, polls have indicated that many Democrats would prefer to see another candidate secure the nomination rather than the current president.

“Every generation has a moment when they have had to defend democracy,” Biden said in a pre-recorded message. “To defend their fundamental freedoms. I think that’s ours. That’s why I’m running for re-election as president of the United States.”

Biden unseated Trump in their most recent showdown in 2020, ending Trump’s tenure after just one term. Trump announced his own bid for the White House last November, but has since faced a myriad of legal problems.
