Videos: Chinese riots break out in cities; Demand Xi and CCP resign over Covid lockdowns

Protests and riots erupted in China’s cities in recent days as people reportedly called for an end to the country’s strict COVID-19 lockdown measures and even called for the resignation of Xi Jinping and other leaders of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). These demonstrations against the CCP government and strict COVID-19 restrictions are a potential challenge to Xi’s consolidation of power in China’s campaign to overtake the US as the dominant world power.

Conservative US political commentator Jack Posobiec shared a video purporting to show the apartment building’s doors being locked by wire.

“Families in a high-rise in China were locked in their apartments when their building caught fire. Urumqi, Xinjiang province,” Posobiec tweeted. “They were burned alive because they couldn’t escape and no one could get there in time. This is directly related to the CCP and Xi’s Zero-Covid lockdown strategy.”
